March 13, 1952 Senior Pastor www.gbbconline.com Married 4 5 with 2 on the way!
Never thought we'd leave Sarasota. All four of our children were born there and we had a great position as Associate Pastor at Faith Baptist Church (then on Bee Ridge Road) for over 15 years. But after our 20th SHS Reunion, Butch Walker arranged for me to fill the pulpit at the church they attended in Fruitland Park which was  without a pastor, and well, the rest is history as they say. We just celebrated 19 years here as pastor on March 14th. Check out our church website and drop us a line sometime! Send George a MessageSend George a Message

February 02, 1952 Meteorologist-Journalist www.earthweek.com Committed Relationship
Howdy! After starting a career in TV weather in Sarasota at Channel 40 (now 7) in the early 70s, I moved up and down the dial in Chicago, Syracuse, Sacramento and Dallas.  Finally wound up in San Francisco for 20 years, where I also ran a private weather consulting company.  A silly little idea for a syndicated newspaper column 24 years ago finally allowed me to semi-retire and move back to a small horse ranch near Dallas in 2004. I’ve shared my life with another cowboy here for the past 6 years. You might have seen Earthweek - A Diary of the Planet in the Herald Tribune until they dropped it during cutbacks a couple of years ago.   I’ve been hit pretty badly by the AIDS epidemic.  I’ve lost three of my last four partners and countless friends to it, but am blessed to have escaped it myself. Those losses taught me how important it is to follow your passions and bliss.  So, in addition to being a TV weather wrangler for 30 years, I became a rodeo cowboy, private pilot and even a long-haul trucker for a couple of years. A SF media critic once wrote that “Steve is going through the Village People costumes faster than anyone I’ve ever seen.”  This will be my first reunion, so I am really looking forward to seeing everybody.     Send Steve a MessageSend Steve a Message

Hi Everybody! Well, I am still teaching AP Lit at SHS, this is my 36th year. I feel fortunate to have realized my life's calling in this profession. I am, otherwise, an avid tennis player and downhill skiier, I travel frequently to Germany (my mother is buried there, she passed in 2005) and support the local arts and the Humane Society. I have 6 persian cats, who are the loves of my life! Go Sailors!

Hello all, it's been a long time since Sarasota. I now live in Melbourne, Florida after living in the Tampa Bay area since graduating from high school. Between grandchildren and a few volunteer organizations I still keep very busy. My wife and I went to Europe a few years ago and used all things I learned from Southside Elementary thru Sarasota High. Thanks Teachers! I hope to see you all at the 40th reunion. November 11, 1952 Investment Banking in China Married
Greetings Classs of '70. My wife and I moved back to Sarasota a few years ago to be closer to my folks. And, we are very happy to be here.

My career has been a little varied--lawyer, CIA Case Officer and CIA Special Operations Reserve Officer, U.S. Delegate to the UN, and investment banker.

My career has been focused on China. And, I lived in China, Taiwan, and Korea for more than 15 years. I started my own company, RiddellTseng, in 1988 doing transactions between China and the west. Now that I am back in the States, besides work, I am also busy at Harvard involved in teaching and fellowships related to China.

I met my wife, Sojeong (in Korean) and Lara (in English--easier for my parents to pronounce) a dozen years ago in Seoul. I didn't know it was possible to have such a wonderful relationship! I will take great pleasure in introducing her to you all.

Now that we're back in Sarasota, we look forward to seeing all of you who are here and all of you who visit.
